Coffee drinks for New Year's Eve

I'm gonna start off real strong. The first thing you're going to do is make Ice & Fire Coffee.
For this drink you will need lungo, cubed sugar, rum or cognac, hazelnut ice cream and possibly sugar to sweeten it.

  1. Grind your coffee and prepare your lungo. If you like your coffee really sweet, sweeten it now so that thesugar dissolves in it .
  2. Put two tablespoons of hazelnut ice creamin a glass . Then pour the coffee over it. Put another smaller spoonful of ice cream on top.
  3. Put two sugar cubes on a spoon and pour 2 tablespoons of alcoholover them . The sugar cubes will soak up the rum.
  4. Then light the sugar and put it in the glass with the coffee and ice cream.
  5. Now all you have to do is enjoy the drink.

Because coffee and Italy simply belong together, the next recipe is Siciliano. To make this drink you will need a shaker, vermouth wine, Amaro, which is a traditional Sicilian liqueur with a bittersweet taste, soda water and cold brew, and Demerara syrup or basic sugar syrup.

You'll use Demerara syrup not only for this drink, but for some other drinks as well, so I'll explain how to make it first.

You will need:

  • 150 g cane sugar
  • 150 g water
  • a little vodka

Add the sugar and water to a small saucepan. Dissolve the sugar in a small saucepan. Store the sugar concoction in a glass container in the refrigerator for up to one month. To prolong the syrup's shelf life, drizzle it with vodka.

And now, on to the Siciliano.

  1. For one drink, mix 60 ml sweet vermouth, 45 ml amaro liqueur, 45 ml cold brew and 30 ml syrup in a shaker.
  2. Then put ice in the glass and top it off with a drink from the shaker.
  3. Top up the glass with soda water. For example, use an orange as a garnish.

Everyone knows the classic Irish coffee, but what about the iced version? You'll need espresso, Irish whiskey, cold brew, ice, sugar, hot water and cream, and ideally a shaker.

  1. First, mix 60ml of Irish whiskey and espresso and let it sit for 15 minutes.
  2. After 15 minutes, strain the mixture through acoffee filter to get rid of thecrema from the espresso.
  3. Then whisk 2 teaspoons of sugar with 2 teaspoons of hot water. Pour the sugar water into the shaker along with the whiskey and espresso.
  4. Add 90 ml of cold brew and iceto the shaker . Then shake everything thoroughly.
  5. Strain the drink into a taller glass with ice and lightly top with fresh cream.
  6. And your iced Irish coffee is ready. Enjoy.

What you mix coffee with in this case is already clear from the name. In addition to the Brandy (you can also use Cognac), prepare the coffee liqueur, ice, espresso, cream and nutmeg.

  1. Fill the shaker container with ice.
  2. Add 30 ml brandy, 30 ml espresso, 15 ml cream and 30 ml coffee liqueur.
  3. Shake well.
  4. Now just serve and sprinkle with a pinch of nutmeg. Cheers!

Do I have any tequila lovers? Cause they're gonna be in for a treat. For the Coffee Margarita you'll need ice, some good quality silver tequila, cold brew, coffee liqueur, lime and salt.

  1. Pour the ice into the shaker.
  2. Then add 30 ml of coffee liqueur, 15 ml of cold brew, 30 ml of tequila and 15 ml of lime juiceto the ice and shake well.
  3. Rub the lime over 3/4 of the rim of the glass and dip it in the salt.
  4. Serve the drink and garnish with a slice of lime.
Coffee margarita can be served in a footed glass or a classic glass. You can then use, for example, ground cinnamon to garnish the drink, which will add an extra pleasant aroma to the taste. Source:
