Weekly cleaning of the brewing unit

Remove the drip tray and wash it.

Open the service door.

Use the PRESS button and grasp the steaming unit by the handle to pull it out of the machine.

Wash the steaming unit under running lukewarm water and it is not necessary to use detergents.

There is a container inside the coffee machine, which you also wash and return to its place.

Slide the steaming unit back into the coffee machine without using the PRESS button so that it clicks into place correctly. Put the waste container and drip tray back in place.

Cleaning the brewing unit using degreasing tablets

• Enter the USER MENU in the appliance menu.
• Select CLEANING THE STEAMER. SELECT THE CLEANER UNIT.
• Confirm cleaning and the machine will now guide you through the steps.
• Fill the water tank with fresh water to the maximum volume.
• Insert the degreasing tablet into the brewing unit.
• Place a container under the outlet of the coffee machine.
• The progress of the cycle will be shown on the display of the coffee machine.
• After draining, remove the container and empty it.
• Clean the steaming unit according to the procedure described in the chapter Weekly cleaning of the coffee machine.

TheSaeco coffee machine monitors for limescale build-up and will inform you of the need for cleaning.

• Enter the coffee machine menu and select TECHNICAL MENU
• SETTINGS
• COFFEE MAKER MENU
• DEWATERING
• START DESCALING
• Confirm the descaling cycle and the coffee machine will guide you through the steps again.
• Fill the water tank together with descaling agent. Mix it in the ratio recommended on the packaging.
• Empty the drip tray.
• Place the container under the drain, the coffee machine will now start to drain the solution and will inform you of the progress.
• When the solution is used up, rinse the reservoir and fill it with water, then continue.
• When the flushing cycle is complete, the coffee machine will automatically fill and be ready to dispense drinks.

Slide the steaming unit back into the coffee machine without using the PRESS button so that it snaps in properly. Put the waste container and drip tray back in place.
