Summer and winter coffee drinks you'll love

WINTER COFFEE DRINKS

1. IRISH COFFEE

Irish coffee is probably the first drink that comes to mind as soon as the words coffee and alcohol are uttered. And what makes this drink Irish? It's whisky! Irish coffee is smooth and sweet, making it one of the best coffee cocktails - and the most popular!

You'll need:

  • 2 sugar cubes
  • 40 ml Whisky
  • 150 ml coffee (espresso lungo, filter)
  • Whipped cream

If you have a coffee machine handy, use the nozzle from it to heat the whisky if not, heat the whisky in a saucepan. Prepare your coffee and sweeten as needed. Pour the coffee into a glass and add the warmed whisky. Finally, add the whipped cream.

2. CAFE AMORE

A drink called cafe amore is popular with the French. Cognac and Amaretto are used instead of whisky.

You will need:

  • 150 ml of coffee (espresso lungo, filter)
  • 20 ml cognac
  • 20 ml Amaretto
  • Whipped cream
  • Roasted almonds

Fill the glass with a small shot of cognac and Amaretto and top up the rest with hot black coffee. To add a new dimension to the drink, serve with whipped cream, topped with roasted almonds.

3. ITALIA COFFEE

The secret to the Italian coffee drink is the Strega herbal liqueur. It's a golden-coloured herbal blend. When mixed with hot coffee, it releases aromas of mint, fennel and juniper along with over 60 other herbal ingredients.

The recipe for this liqueur has been a secret since 1860, when it was first produced in Campania, Italy.

You will need:

  • 150 ml of coffee (espresso lungo, filter)
  • 20 ml of Strega liqueur
  • 1 sugar cube
  • whipped cream
  • a pinch of nutmeg

Pour the coffee and Strego into a coffee glass and add about a teaspoon of sugar. Apply a little whipped cream and sprinkle with nutmeg.

Now imagine watching the sun set over Tuscany while you drink this Italian drink...

4. KENTUCKY COFFEE

The state of Kentucky in the USA is famous for its bourbon. Try it with coffee and you won't regret it.

You will need:

  • 20 ml of bourbon
  • 20 ml Kahlua coffee liqueur
  • a drop of vanilla extract
  • Sugar to taste
  • Whipped cream
  • 150 ml coffee (espresso lungo, filter)

Add the bourbon, coffee liqueur and a drop of vanilla extract to a warmed glass. Sweeten the coffee to taste with sugar and add to the alcohol. Gently pour the whipped cream over the drink so it doesn't sink down into the drink. Enjoy the taste of the American South!

5. MEXICAN COFFEE

Can anything be better than coffee, Tequila, Kahlua and ice cream? Probably nothing. So put on your sombrero and get to it.

You'll need:

  • 1 scoop of vanilla ice cream
  • 20 ml of Kahlua coffee liqueur
  • 20 ml of Tequila
  • 150 ml coffee (espresso lungo, filter)

Simply melt the vanilla ice cream in the microwave and add it to a cup of strong coffee. Finally, add the Kahlua and Tequila.

Mexican coffee is a great drink served hot, but we're sure it will taste just as amazing chilled. Just don't forget the ice cubes.

6. SPANISH CARAJILLO

Spanish culture is full of drama. So it should come as no surprise that "Spanish coffee" or Carajillo is just as intense as everything else this dramatically beautiful culture brings. A subtle and potent combination of caffeine and alcohol, you'll love this drink.

You'll need:

  • 150 ml of coffee (espresso lungo, filter)
  • 20 ml of Grand Marnier orange liqueur
  • 10 ml rum
  • 10 ml Kahlua coffee liqueur
  • 1 teaspoon of cane syrup
  • Cream
  • orange slice

Mix Grand Marnier liqueur, rum, Kahlua liqueur and cane syrup in a shaker. Add to coffee. Whisk the cream gently. Then pour the cream over the drink with the back of a spoon. Serve with a slice of orange.

Moisten the rim of the glass with the orange slice. Then pour the cane sugar onto a plate and dip the glass bottom up into the sugar. The resulting drink will be effective and delicious!

SUMMER COFFEE DRINKS

1. ESPRESSO SUMMER

Long, hot summer days when the sun doesn't set until late at night. The espresso summer drink won't let you down. The drink is made with espresso and served on the rocks.

What you need:

  • espresso or 50 ml cold brew
  • 40 ml of gin
  • sugar to taste
  • 40 ml orange juice
  • Blackberries
  • Slice of orange

Make an espresso or use cold brew. Shake the coffee with ice. Add gin, sugar and orange juice. Then shake and add the blackberries and orange slice.

The drink is best drunk poolside, so cheers!

2. COFFEE PARADISE

Paradise = paradise. Palm trees, sand underfoot, the sound of the sea and an ice cold drink in your hand. Coffee paradise will give you that feeling in no time.

What you need:

  • 150 ml espresso lunga, filter, cold brew
  • 20 ml spiced rum
  • 20 ml apricot liqueur
  • lightly whipped cream
  • Sugar to taste

Mix the rum, liqueur and sugar, if using, together. Stir together with coffee, add ice and garnish with whipped cream.

3. BLACK RUSSIAN

The Black Russian is one of the simplest cocktails. This drink is popular all over the world. It's vodka and coffee liqueur, who can resist it?

What you need:

  • 40 ml of vodka
  • 20 ml of Kahlua coffee liqueur
  • Ice

Simply fill the glass with ice and top up with vodka and liqueur. Cheers! Bored of plain vodka? There are so many varieties. Try raspberry or chocolate. You'll never get bored of this drink!

4. WHITE RUSSIAN

White russian is a drink with coffee and cream. Another way is to replace the coffee liqueur with real cold coffee.

What you will need:

  • 40 ml of vodka
  • 100 ml milk or cream
  • 50 ml cold coffee
  • ice

Fill the glass with ice, add vodka, cream and iced coffee. Simple and delicious.

5. ESPRESSO MARTINI

There's nothing a martini can't tackle. And what could be better than this delicious coffee drink with a Martini?

What you'll need:

  • 40 ml of Kahlua coffee liqueur
  • 20 ml vodka
  • ashot of espresso
  • Ice

Add ice, Kahlua liqueur, vodka and espresso to a shaker. Shake and strain into a glass. And the espresso martini is ready.

NON-ALCOHOLIC COFFEE DRINKS

1. ORANGE & COFFEE

The coffee in this drink replaces the alcohol, so this drink can be enjoyed anytime without a problem.

What you will need:

  • 150 ml cold brew, filter
  • Sugar to taste
  • 50ml freshly squeezed orange
  • Ice
  • Orange slices

Add the coffee, ice and orange juice to the shaker. Shake well and pour into a glass with ice. Add a slice of orange on top. Do you know a better way to start a Saturday summer morning?

2. CITRON & COFFEE

Try swapping the orange for a lemon. And enjoy a sour, refreshing drink.

What you'll need:

  • 100 ml of coffee
  • Juice of half a lemon
  • Sugar to taste
  • A slice of lemon

Add the coffee, ice and lemon juice to a shaker. Shake well and pour into a glass with ice. Add a slice of lemon on top. This refreshing summer drink tastes best with water!
