How to choose coffee?
By type of coffee
You can choose from Arabica and Robusta. And what is the difference between them? Arabica is milder, sweeter and has more fruity notes, while robusta is stronger, bitter and has a higher caffeine content. Arabica is often used in premium coffees and is the one you'll find most often in our range.
Roast level / acidity
The level of roasting greatly influences the taste and acidity of the coffee. A light , delicate roast retains more of its original flavour notes and has a higher acidity, which gives it freshness. Darker medium roast coffee offers a balanced flavour with lower acidity and a strong, bitter taste with hints of chocolate or nuts.
Method of preparation
Choose your coffee primarily according to how you plan to prepare it. Espresso lovers can choose from our wide range of select coffees that are specially roasted for espresso. Conversely, for filter and other alternative preparation methods, choose lighter roast coffees that offer a more subtle and complex flavour. Using a coffee designed for a different brewing method can affect the final taste, so it's best to stick to the recommendations for your specific method.
