Lubricant

The right lubricant extends the life of gaskets, O-rings, valves and the moving parts of brewing units. When servicing a coffee machine, the most commonly lubricated parts are the group gaskets, the spindles of steam and water valves and the guide parts of the automatic unit. The range includes silicone greases and lubricants in tubes and tubs, Klübersynth and Kluberlub lubricants, white petroleum jelly, spray paraffin oil and Lubrifilm Plus lubricant.

For parts that come into contact with water or beverages, choose a lubricant approved for food contact and check this in its technical data sheet. Silicone greases are usually used on rubber gaskets and O-rings. We order lubricants from the supplier to order.

When lubricating the group gasket, also check the group head screens and shower plates and brew group diffusers.

Why is it important to use coffee machine lubricant?

Lubricant is crucial for the proper maintenance of the moving parts of the coffee machine, such as seals, pistons and other mechanical components. By regularly lubricating these components , you extend the life of the machine, keep the machine running smoothly and prevent problems such as increased friction or seal wear.

How often should I use lubricant?

The frequency of use depends on the intensity of use of the coffee machine. In general, you should apply lubricant at each regular cleaning or service, approximately once every 3 to 6 months, or whenever you notice increased friction when operating the machine.

What types of lubricant are suitable for coffee machines?

It is important to use food grade lubricants approved for food contact and high temperatures. You can find special lubricants (e.g. Haynes Lubri Film Plus) that are safe for use in coffee machines and grinders in our online shop. Do not use ordinary lubricants as they may contain substances that are not suitable for contact with food.
