ECM stands for Espresso Coffee Machines Manufacture. The company manufactures handmade home espresso machines and electric grinders.
Although the company is originally German, production also takes place in the cradle of espresso, Italy. It is there that espresso machines with heat exchangers are primarily produced. The Synchronika coffee machine and most of the grinders are then made in Germany.
Two generations of Haucks, the founder Wolfgang and, since 2009, his son Michael, are behind the development of all the accessories.
Quality and technical innovation have been the most important values for the company since its foundation. The products, especially the coffee machines, have been based on designs from the 1960s from the start. Great emphasis is also placed on the choice of materials. The bodies of the coffee machines are made of high-quality stainless steel.
With the exception of small details (such as the hoppers of the grinders), ECM avoids the use of plastic. During innovation, they follow the motto - BECAUSE YOU ARE THE BARISTA.
There is something for everyone in the range of coffee machines. ECM produces single and double boiler coffee machines. The ones with one will attract you especially with their compact size. Its functions will satisfy every home barista. The sophisticated double boiler coffee machines are particularly suitable for the most demanding coffee drinkers.
ECM coffee machines differ from the others above all by the technologically and structurally improved E61 head. Compared to the head that Faema produced more than 50 years ago, the ECM coffee machine has an innovative stainless steel scalding device. It is also protected by a patent.
In order to bring espresso preparation to perfection, ECM didn't just stick to coffee machines. As with coffee machines, there is something for everyone's taste with electric grinders.
ECM grinders are among the most powerful on the market. The electric grinders are designed for grinding espresso coffee, which is why they don't lack a lever holder. All models have flat stainless steel grinding stones. The more professional models have titanium coated stones
