Coffee from the Minas Gerais region

Cooxupé was founded in 1932 and is one of the oldest cooperatives in Brazil. Since 1957, the cooperative has invested in its own coffee processing, the education of its members and help with sales on international markets.

With more than 60 years of tradition, Cooxupé is an example for all cooperatives in Brazil. Cooxupé has 12,000 members from Sul de Minas, the Cerrado in the Minas Gerais region, as well as growers in the Rio Pardo Valley in São Paulo. The vast majority are families - small farmers whose main livelihood is growing coffee.

Cooxupé takes social responsibility towards its members very seriously. In the rural areas where it operates, it has built medical and educational facilities for the surrounding population. In addition to the infrastructure for their members, they also offer education and advice in the field of ecological cultivation techniques .
