How to determine the correct water filtration capacity

Suppose you want 10 litres of filtered water per day from a BWT Bestprotect cartridge. This means that approximately 3,650 litres per year flow through the filter. You can think (according to the table below) about size M, but you still need to find out the overall hardness of your water. According to the "drip" water test you will find, for example, a value of 17 °dTH. And now you are sure that the BWT Bestprotect 2XL will be ideal for you.

Recommended accessories for cartridge installation

✔️ pressure flexi tubing to connect the water from the line to the filtration and from the filtration to the tap/coffee machine
✔️ BWT Besthead Flex Connection Head for cartridge filtration,
✔️ also highly recommend the BWT Protector mini as a pre-cartridge particulate filter, especially if you anticipate using filtered water for your coffee machine (the plumbing in the coffee machine has very narrow components that even small particles in the water could clog)
✔️ BWT AQA monitor with LCD to check the water flow through the filter, because this way you will have accurate data on filter usage so you always change it just in time
