Coffee from the Piendamo region

Diego Bermudez is the driving force behind the success of the family farm Finca El Paraiso in Piendam, Cauca, Colombia. On 3 hectares and other farms, El Paraiso grows the Castillo, Pacamara, Geisha and Laurina varieties at 1 930 m above sea level.

The farm benefits from a good microclimate, which facilitates the slow ripening of the beans and the accumulation of the sugars needed for fermentation. Diego's expertise includes the unique use of micro-organisms, a double fermentation method combined with a heat shock washing technique. The goal of this careful approach is to allow the compounds to pass through the parchment layer and "fix" inside the beans.

The drying process ensures final quality thanks to a patented technology using controlled air recirculation at low temperatures. Diego's unwavering commitment to craftsmanship continues to produce exceptional results at Finca El Paraiso.

How will this coffee taste?

Coffees from Colombia are characterized by their full body, bright acidity and rich aftertaste. In the coffee from Finca El Paraiso you will find sour fruit notes of apple, peach with a pleasant lychee flavour. Thanks to the unusual processing with special double fermentation, you will enjoy a truly delicious cup of coffee.

Recommended for filter coffee. A fine roasting profile has been created just for this way of preparing coffee. In addition to using it for classic drip coffee from a dripper or drip coffee machine, you can also enjoy coffee from a French Press, AeroPress or Chemex.
