Coffee from Santa Maria, Huila
La Victoria coffee comes from the Santa Maria region of Huila, Colombia, where local farmers focus on producing high quality coffee. This project supports smallholders as part of the 'Productores del futuro' initiative , which aims to improve farmers' livelihoods and sustainable development.
The coffee is carefully harvested at high altitudes of 1700-2200 m above sea level. The selected ripe cherries are fermented for 24 hours and then further fermented for 36-72 hours after peeling. After washing, they are traditionally dried on sunny terraces, which ensures high quality and stable flavour.
La Victoria coffee is the result not only of the farmers' efforts, but also of the long-term support of experts who regularly monitor the quality of the harvest. By working directly with the producers, higher yields are achieved while the overall quality of production is improved.
What will this cup of coffee taste like?
Colombian coffees are known for their complex flavour and balance. La Victoria is no exception, with its cup combining subtle notes of green apple, milk chocolate and redcurrant to create a harmonious and refreshing taste experience.
Recommended for filter coffee. It is for this method of coffee preparation that the fine roasting profile was created. In addition to using it for classic drip coffee from a dripper or drip coffee machine, you can also enjoy coffee from a French Press, AeroPress or Chemex.
