Coffee from Aquiares Estate
Aquiares Estate coffee puts the rich heritage and carefully tended tradition of growing coffee trees at the foot of the majestic Turrialba volcano in the heart of Costa Rica into your cup. Founded by British farmers in 1890, this estate carries not only the aroma of coffee but also the story of a century of effort and love for this delicious crop.
This coffee is also a symbol of sustainability and respect for nature. The three families who have owned the farm since 1971 have joined with the staff and the local community of 1,800 people to create an environment where tradition combines with innovation and care for nature. With Rainforest Alliance certification, Aquiares is the first coffee farm to achieve carbon neutrality.
What will this cup of coffee taste like?
Costa Rica is one of the most advanced coffee growing countries in Central America. It defines 8 coffee regions in the country. The flavours of Costa Rican coffees vary depending on the growing area. However, honey, chocolate and vanilla notes are common and you will be absolutely enchanted by this particular coffee.
