Coffee from the Sidama region
The Keramo station in the Sidama region brings together approximately 1,500 smallholder farmers who grow coffee on their land at altitudes of over 2,300 metres above sea level. Coffee trees were planted in the area in the 1990s and since then coffee has become a key product for the local people who cultivate it with great care and dedication.
The coffee cherries are carefully hand-picked and sorted to ensure their high quality. The cherries are then processed using the washed method, where they are first fermented for 36 to 72 hours to remove the outer fruit and mucilage. After fermentation, the coffee is washed in clean water and dried on African beds for 12 to 15 days until it reaches optimum moisture.
Due to its high altitude and careful processing, this coffee has gained international recognition and has been awarded in the Cup of Excellence competition.

How will this cup of coffee taste?
Ethiopian coffees are known for their complex flavours and distinct acidity, due to their unique climatic conditions and traditional processing methods.
Coffee from Keramo Station in the Sidama region is no exception. It offers fresh and bright flavour profiles with notes of bergamot, orange blossom and lemon zest. These citrus and floral elements complement each other perfectly with subtle undertones, creating a refreshing and complex coffee experience.
Recommended for filter coffee. It is for this method of coffee preparation that the fine roast profile was created. In addition to using it for classic drip coffee from a dripper or drip coffee machine, you can also enjoy coffee from a French Press, AeroPress or Chemex.
