Our organically created grapefruit oil is cold-pressed from the alluringly fragrant skins of Citrus paradisi fruit harvested from orchards in the South African countryside.

Our Grapefruit Essential Oil, which revitalizes, uplifts and adds emotional buoyancy, has a fresh, light, citrusy, sweet, slightly bitter aroma, with a somewhat drying taste, due to certain chemical components found only in grapefruit.

Grapefruit oil, like all citrus peel oils, have a predominance of Limonene, a bright, lemony monoterpene that provides an absolutely pleasant scent when diffused to freshen and disinfect the room environment.

Grapefruit (Citrus paradisi) is a cross between Pomelo (Citrus maxima) and Sweet Orange (Citrus x sinensis). Its olfactory character is almost entirely attributed to its strong trace constituents, especially Nootkatone and traces of a sulfur-containing compound.
