Coffee from the Kerinci region, Sumatra
Barokah Kerinci coffee comes from the Gunung Tujuh area in the Kerinci region of Sumatra. It is grown by the Koerintji Barokah Bersama cooperative, which brings together 320 farmers on small farms of less than 2.5 hectares, at an altitude of 1400-1700 m above sea level
Harvesting takes place twice a year , the main harvest is between April and June and another from November to January . After manual collection, the coffee is taken to collection stations, where it is carefully sorted and dried on raised beds. Triyono, the leader of the cooperative, takes care of the high quality of the processing of each batch.
At the same time, the cooperative supports farmers in the development of sustainable techniques and livelihoods even in the off-season. Barokah Kerinci coffee is not only a guarantee of exceptional quality , but also an example of sustainable production in harmony with nature.
How will this cup of coffee taste?
Coffees from Indonesia are known for their variety of flavors , which is influenced by both the climate and the unique processing techniques spread throughout the archipelago. Cultivated on volcanic soil, they often have a full body and deep tone , with each region bringing its own specific nuances.
This particular coffee is roasted specially on a filter to bring out its flavor notes of chocolate , ripe cherries and forest fruits . This unique combination brings a delicious experience that combines the classic elements of Indonesian coffees with a delicate fruity taste and sweet chocolate undertones.
We recommend for the preparation of filtered coffee . The fine roasting profile was created precisely for this method of coffee preparation. In addition to using it for classic drip coffee from a dripper or drip coffee maker, you can also enjoy coffee from a French Press, AeroPress or Chemex .
