Coffee from Kiambu County
Ngemwa Estate in Kenya's Kiambu region is located at an altitude of 1700 m above sea level and covers 28 hectares. The farm grows coffee varieties SL 28 , Ruiru 11 and SL 34 , which are known for their durability and quality.
The coffee is hand picked , fermented and dried in the sun on raised beds until it reaches the ideal humidity. Ngemwa is processed by the wet method.
Ngemwa Estate employs 40 people, 15 of whom live on the farm. Working with Coffee Management Services and Dormans Exporting Group, the farm focuses on quality and sustainability .

Select class AA coffee
The difference between AA and AB grades of coffee in Kenya is the size of the coffee beans. Class AA refers to larger grains (with a sieve size of 17 or 18), while class AB includes smaller grains. Grade AA often fetches higher prices at auctions, but bean size is not always a reliable indicator of the quality of flavor that even grade AB coffee can have.

How will this cup of coffee taste?
Coffees from Kenya are known for their bright acidity and complex flavor profile . They are mostly grown at high altitudes and processed using the wet method , which ensures their clean and fresh taste. This particular coffee from Ngemwa Estate will enchant you with its fruity notes of gooseberry , which perfectly balances the unconventional taste of rosehips and the sweet aftertaste of honey .
We recommend for the preparation of filtered coffee . The fine roasting profile was created precisely for this coffee preparation method. In addition to using it for classic drip coffee from a dripper or drip coffee maker, you can also enjoy coffee from a French Press, AeroPress or Chemex .
