Our organically created thyme essential oil is steam distilled from the delicate, light purple flowers and aromaticgreen leaves of four different species of thyme plants grown in bright, sunny fields along the Spanish countryside.

Our very fine thyme essential oil has a wonderful fragrance - diffusive, spicy, warm, sweet herbal, clean and delicate with a slight peppery undertone and a subtle woody-herbal tail.

This is an ornamental herb that is covered with two or three summer months of delicate pale purple flowers that are themselves very fragrant. This makes it an attractive piece for bees and in the culinary arts.

There are several different chemotypes of thyme essential oil - these genetic variations occur in plants of the samegenus and species when grown at different altitudes, in different soils or under different climatic conditions.

Our thyme essential oil is known to have the same therapeutic properties as all these other chemotypes and is safer to use than most other thyme oils, which tend to be high in skin-irritating phenolic compounds such as Thymol and Carvacrol.
