Timemore Chestnut hand grinders have become a staple of so many coffee lovers around the world almost overnight. They have captivated us with their practicality, their cool design and above all the quality of their workmanship and, above all, their grinding.

It is the consistency of the coffee grinds from Timemore grinders that keeps on the heels of even the best premium hand grinders in the world. The new Timemore Chestnut X lite in matte black or green is a great rival to the current kings of manual grinding.

Patented S2C steel grinding stones

As always with Timemore products, the beauty of simplicity and spectacular design are unrivalled. The same goes for the materials used. Also in the X series, the body of the grinder is made from a single piece of lightweight but strong aluminium.

Inside, the metal axis of the grinder and the steel grinding stones are mounted on 2 bearings. These are specifically ground based on an innovative grinding method by the designers at Timemore. They call them "S2C" - "spike to cut". The patented S2C grinding stones are even 42 mm long!

Their unique design works as a double grind in practice. The sharp edges on the top of the stones break the beans, and the sharp grinding teeth of the stones grind the coffee more precisely.

Smooth grinding on a grinder that won't slip out of your hand

Manual grinding requires homogeneous results, while the turning of the handle itself must be comfortable. That's why this part of the grinder has also been modernised, giving it a modern look and more pleasant handling. The ergonomic shape of the rounded square, typical of Timemore mills, which fits the hand like a glove, is also retained.

To make sure that the grinder does not slip out of your hand, the body of the grinder has a 3d texture. Or rather, vertical scoring, which also adds a point to the overall design of the grinder. And if you need to lean the hand grinder on a table, don't worry - the siliconized bottom won't let the grinder slide on any smooth surface.
