What is a gooseneck kettle and why is it ideal for making coffee?
The gooseneck kettle has a specific spout shape that allows for precise pouring of water. This design is ideal for coffee brewing methods such as pour-over, where a controlled flow of water is key to achieving optimum flavour. Kettles from brands such as Hario, Fellow, Brewista and Timemore offer this precision.
What features do modern gooseneck kettles have?
Most of the kettles in our range have advanced features that make coffee preparation easier and more precise. For example, models with temperature control and an LCD display (such as Brewista or Fellow) allow you to accurately set and monitor the water temperature, which is crucial for different types of coffee preparation. The temperature hold function then helps you keep the water at the desired temperature for longer.
What volume should I choose?
The volume depends on how much coffee you plan to brew at one time. We offer kettles in different volumes from 600 ml to 1200 ml. Smaller volumes (e.g. 800 ml) are sufficient for home coffee preparation for one or two people, while larger models (e.g. 1000 ml or more) are suitable for preparing several cups at once.
Do these kettles have safety features?
Yes, many of the models in our range, such as those from Brewista and Fellow, are equipped with safety features such as overheat protection or empty-run protection, which guarantee safe operation. Some kettles also have an automatic shut-off that switches off the kettle when the desired water temperature is reached.
Can I control the kettle via my mobile phone?
Yes, some kettles in our range have a mobile phone control function that allows you to set the water temperature and other parameters remotely. You will find this function, for example, on selected models from the Timemore brand.
