How to choose a home lever coffee machine?
Which lever coffee maker is best for home use?
The choice depends on your preferences, but for home use we recommend coffee machines with a vibrating pump and one or more boilers, such as models from brands like Ascaso, Lelit or Rocket Espresso. These machines offer great espresso and are easy to use, whether you prefer manual dosing or adjustable functions.
What is the difference between a single boiler and a multi boiler?
A single boiler is suitable for those who want quality espresso without frequently alternating between brewing coffee and steaming milk. The multi boiler or HX boiler allows you to prepare espresso and whip milk at the same time, which is especially appreciated by lovers of milk drinks such as cappuccino or caffè latte.
What features should a coffee machine have for making milk drinks?
If you plan to make cappuccinos or caffè lattes frequently, we recommend choosing a coffee machine with a steam nozzle and ideally with the option to heat the cups. Two boilers or the HX system will allow you to quickly prepare espresso and whisk milk at the same time. The Cool Touch steam nozzle can be a great advantage for safer handling.
Which type of pump is better - vibrating or rotary?
Vibrating pumps are more common in home coffee machines and are quiet enough and affordable. Rotary pumps can be found in more expensive models such as the ECM or Victoria Arduino and are quieter and more durable, which will be especially appreciated by more demanding users or those looking for more professional performance.
Can lever coffee machines be used in the office?
Yes, many lever coffee machines are suitable for the office. We recommend models with a larger water reservoir or direct water supply so that multiple coffees can be made in a row. Manufacturers such as Bezzera or Victoria Arduino offer reliable coffee machines that are suitable for more coffee-intensive environments.
