The hopper holds coffee beans above the burrs and determines how much coffee the grinder takes at once. A large hopper suits a café grinding the same coffee all day, while a smaller hopper or single dose attachment suits home baristas who often switch between coffees and want only one dose in the grinder. We also offer separate metal and wooden lids.

Choose a hopper by grinder brand and model, as the throat and closure differ between series. Compare the capacity in grams, the material and whether the hopper has a shut-off slide for changing coffee without spilling the beans. A dark finish better protects the coffee from light.
