An important companion

Filtration itself is an important component for the functionality of both coffee machines and other catering equipment. The water you get from this filtration is of a high standard and you will be satisfied with the resulting taste. Filtration also helps with descaling, so your coffee maker is not exposed to any risk of calcium entering its pathways.

HORECA

Using BWT Bestmax filtration is ideal for both household and catering applications. It is designed for the large volume it can filter , keeping in mind the resulting price. The Bestmax range has an impact on water treatment by reducing Ca2+, Mg2+, particulates, foreign tastes and chlorine.

How to determine the correct water filtration capacity

Suppose we want 10 litres of filtered water per day from a BWT Bestmax cartridge. This means that approximately 3650 litres per year will flow through the filter. We can think (according to the table below) about the size V, but we still need to find out the total hardness of our water. According to the "drip" water test, we will find a value of, say, 17°TH. And now we are sure that BWT Bestmax L with a bypass setting of 3 is ideal for us.

Recommended accessories for cartridge installation

  • ✔️ pressure flexi hoses to connect water from the line to the filtration and from the filtration to the tap/coffee machine
  • ✔️ BWT Besthead Flex Connection Head for cartridge filtration,
  • ✔️ also highly recommend the BWT Protector mini as a pre-cartridge particulate filter, especially if you anticipate using filtered water for your coffee machine (the plumbing in the coffee machine has very narrow components that even small particles in the water could clog)
  • ✔️ BWT AQA monitor with LCD to check the water flow through the filter, because this way you will have accurate data on filter usage so you always change it just in time
