An automatic tamper tamps the coffee in the portafilter with the same force and perfectly level every time, eliminating differences between baristas and wrist fatigue at peak times. Busy cafés get more consistent espresso and faster preparation. The range includes the Eureka Mignon automatic tamper and 58.3 mm replacement tamping discs for the Disko tamper and the under-grinder Atom tamper.

When choosing, check that the tamper matches the basket diameter of your portafilters and suits the grinder you want to place it under. The tamping disc should be only slightly smaller than the inner diameter of the basket, so that it tamps the coffee right up to the walls without scraping them.
