Georgian Black Tea Chiatura Grade 2 - Premium Quality from the Caucasus

This exceptional black tea comes from high-altitude plantations in the Georgian region of Chiatura, where it is grown at elevations of 800-900 meters above sea level. This is the highest quality tea that represents the revival of traditional Georgian tea cultivation after years of decline.

Origin and Cultivation

The tea comes from restored plantations that lay fallow for many years after the collapse of trade following the dissolution of the Soviet Union. Today these plantations have been revived and produce the highest quality tea with respect for traditional methods.

Quality and Processing

  • Grown at altitudes of 800-900 m above sea level for optimal flavor characteristics
  • No chemicals used - organic cultivation
  • Hand-picked only medium-sized young shoots
  • Only shoots with two to three leaves are harvested
  • Small batch production to maintain quality

Flavor Profile

Thanks to its high-altitude origin and careful processing, this tea offers a rich, full flavor typical of Georgian black teas. The high elevation and climatic conditions of the Caucasus give the tea its characteristic intensity and complexity.

Packaging and Storage

The tea is supplied in a practical 500g package that ensures long-term freshness and preservation of all flavor characteristics. We recommend storing in a dry and dark place.
