Georgian Black Tea Ozurgeti BOP

Ozurgeti is a classic Georgian black tea that brings you the authentic taste of Caucasian tea tradition. This quality tea comes from the Ozurgeti region in Georgia, an area renowned for cultivating excellent teas since the Soviet Union era.

Tea Characteristics

  • BOP (Broken Orange Pekoe) quality - medium leaf size
  • Red-black leaf with characteristic appearance
  • Copper-colored brew with rich color
  • Full, distinctive taste typical of Georgian teas
  • Nostalgic flavor reminiscent of the Soviet era

Tea Preparation

For preparation, we recommend using 1 teaspoon of tea per 200ml of water at 95-100°C temperature. Steeping time is 3-5 minutes depending on desired intensity. You can drink the tea plain or with milk and sugar according to Georgian tradition.

Packaging and Storage

The tea is supplied in a practical 1kg package, which is ideal for regular consumers or for gastronomy. Store in a dry and dark place in a well-sealed container to maintain freshness and aroma.

History of Georgian Teas

Georgia has a rich tradition of tea cultivation that dates back to the 19th century. The Ozurgeti region is among the most famous tea regions in the country, and teas from there were popular throughout the Soviet Union for their characteristic taste and quality.
