Timemore Chestnut hand grinders have become a staple in the kit of so many coffee lovers around the world almost overnight. They have captivated us with their practicality, great design and, above all, the quality of their workmanship and, above all, their grinding.

It is the consistency of the coffee grind and the range of grinding coarseness of Timemore grinders that keeps even the best of the world's premium hand grinders on their heels. And the new Timemore Chestnut X is already following in their footsteps, or rather surpassing the previous kings of hand grinding.

S2C grinding stones in the Timemore X black mill

The beauty of simplicity and spectacular design are, as always with Timemore products, unrivalled. The same goes for the materials used. Also in the X series, the body of the grinder is made from a single piece of lightweight but strong aluminium.

Inside, the metal axis of the grinder and the steel grinding stones are mounted on 2 bearings. These are specifically ground based on an innovative grinding method by the designers at Timemore. They call them "S2C" - "spike to cut". The patented S2C grinding stones are even 42 mm long!

Dual setting of the Timemore X black hand grinder

Obsessive coffee drinkers who are always on the go have already fallen for Timemore's most practical folding handle grinder solution. As with the Timemore Nano version, this compact method is also applied to the Chestnut X grinder. The ergonomic shape of the rounded square, which fits like a glove in the hand, is also retained.

What Timemore's developers have lost compared to the original series of grinders is the coarseness setting. They have added one more grinding coarseness scale to the classic one. So instead of 24 click - degrees of grinding, you can fine tune your chosen coarseness on a smaller adjustment wheel with 5 more degrees. In total, the Timemore Chestnut X offers you up to 120 different grind grades. Wow!
