Coffee from the Kerinci region, Sumatra

Barokah Kerinci coffee comes from the Gunung Tujuh area in the Kerinci region of Sumatra. It is grown by the Koerintji Barokah Bersama cooperative, which brings together 320 farmers on small farms of less than 2.5 hectares, at an altitude of 1400–1700 m above sea level.

Harvesting takes place twice a year , with the main harvest between April and June and another from November to January . After hand-picking, the coffee is taken to collection stations, where it is carefully sorted and dried on raised beds. Triyono, the cooperative leader, ensures the high quality of each batch.

The cooperative also supports farmers in developing sustainable techniques and livelihoods even out of season. Barokah Kerinci coffee is not only a guarantee of exceptional quality , but also an example of sustainable production in harmony with nature.

How will this cup of coffee taste?

Coffees from Indonesia are known for their diversity of flavors , influenced by both the climate and the unique processing techniques spread throughout the archipelago. Growing on volcanic soil, they often have a full body and deep tones , with each region bringing its own specific nuances.

This particular coffee is roasted specifically for espresso to bring out its cherry cola , ripe plum and spicy cardamom flavors. This unique combination delivers a delicious experience that combines the classic elements of Indonesian coffees with a subtle fruity flavor and sweet chocolate undertones.

We recommend espresso or moka pots for making coffee .

Store in a dry and cool place.
